Attendee groups are small and friendly. The AIIP Symposium is an ideal opportunity to spark learning and engagement, whether your style is inspirational, pragmatic, or entertaining.

AIIP's 2024 Symposium will offer both in-person and virtual options.

The in-person AIIP 2024 Symposium will run from Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 21, 2024, in historic St. Louis, Missouri, USA, with speakers, information exchange, and networking.
The virtual AIIP 2024 Symposium experience will wrap around the in-person events with livestreams of selected content, on-demand presentations, and virtual networking. Dates TBD.

Audience

The Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) is an international network of people who own their own information-centered business.

Members are consultants working across diverse industries and sectors in the U.S. and around the globe.

AIIP's members provide expert, information-related services that fall primarily into one or more of these communities of practice:

We welcome topics that will equip attendees with knowledge and skills to take their business to the next level, whether they are a new or well-established business owner. We are open to all good ideas.

Here are some concepts to get your creative juices flowing.

Formats

Propose a session in any engaging format.

Here are some options:

  • In-person, hybrid, or virtual (live or pre-recorded)
  • One-hour talk with one or more speakers
  • 20-minute mini-presentation
  • Panel discussions with a facilitator and experts
  • Informal roundtable discussions and small-group table talks
  • Suggest something new!

Please include:

  • A working title for your session
  • Session abstract (150 words or fewer), and 
  • Proposed delivery format.
The Conference Program Committee will respond to your proposal in early to mid-October.
