Tools like blogs, Twitter and LinkedIn can help you build a “3-D” brand that can lead to connections, recognition and revenue for you and your business. These tools work especially well for info pros – but you may be confused about which to use and how to use these tools professionally. In this workshop, intended for those new to social networking tools and those looking to increase their social presence, we’ll look at the business benefits of the current top tools, help you match your own style and brand to the right tools, show examples of effective branding in social networking, and give you tips to avoid the many pitfalls in the social world.

Target audience: Beginners (those new to social networking tools) and intermediate (those already using social tools and looking to increase their social presence).

Main topics:

  • Business benefits of using social tools.
  • Matching your style and offerings to the right tools.
  • Effective practices and guidelines for a professional brand in social tools.

Participants will:

  • Understand an approach to thinking about social tools and through a group exercise, have an idea of the one(s) that will best fit their style, brand and business.
  • Be able to immediately start using their selected tool(s) to increase their brand and business presence.
