Vendor Training Opportunities

correctedlogo2010c.jpg

Free training sessions at the AIIP annual conference are an effective way to demonstrate the value of your products and services to experienced, new, and prospective users.

You can show attendees how they can expand and enhance the value of their services - and positively affect their bottom lines - by using your product.

All vendor training sessions will be held on Thursday, April 29.

To apply to present one or more vendor training sessions, complete the Sponsorship Application Package (PDF). Applications must be received by March 10, 2010.

The conference facility provides free wi-fi access. Arrangements for equipment should be made in advance through AIIP’s contracted vendor. AIIP will provide details to organizations that provide training sessions.

Reach New and Experienced Users

New Users

Introduce your products and services to new users with a basic training session. Approximately 25 percent of conference attendees identify themselves as new information professionals. Many of them come to the conference specifically for vendor training. These users want to learn all they can about your products.

Intermediate and Experienced Users

Enhance relationships with existing users by offering refreshers, “tips and tricks,” expanded product capabilities, and special topics sessions. Busy information professionals look forward to this opportunity to learn about new features and services from familiar, trusted sources.

How It Works

  • Complete a Sponsorship Package application. You may offer multiple sessions designed for different levels of experience, or for different products and services. Submit one application per session, please.

  • Once your session is approved, AIIP will publicize it via the AIIP-L discussion list, web site, and registration materials.

  • AIIP provides the meeting room and microphone. Arrangements for equipment should be made in advance through AIIP’s contracted vendor. AIIP will provide details to organizations that register to provide training.

  • You handle registrations and confirmations for your session. You also need to alert registrants and the AIIP Office if you need to cancel your session.
