Driving Directions and Public Transportation
See Getting to the Hotel to obtain customized directions for reaching the Cleveland Garden Inn Downtown via automobile.
It is possible to take public transportation to the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. The Regional Transit Authority (RTA) has regularly scheduled rail service that goes to downtown Cleveland from the airport. RTA's Airport station is located on the lower level of the terminal complex. To reach the rapid transit line, take the elevators or escalators near the center of the ticketing and baggage claim levels.
From Monday through Saturday the Red Line operates approximately every 15 minutes from 4:29am until 7:45pm, and approximately every twenty minutes from 7:45pm until 1:05am. On Sunday, the rapid operates from 4:32am until 1:14am. Riding the rapid only costs $2.25 each way. You must purchase a fare card from an automated fare box. Exit the Red Line train at Tower City, Terminal Tower – the downtown stop. (Be sure to exit at this stop because the train continues going east.) Take the elevator or escalator to the third level of Tower City. It is also called the Skylight level. Proceed to the exterior entrance near the Hard Rock Café (230 Huron Road). Once you are at the Hard Rock (216-830-7625), call the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown at 216-658-6400 and request a pick up. The hotel offers this shuttle service from 7am until 7pm.
Exploring the Neighborhood
The hotel is within a 10-block radius (a short taxi ride) of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Great Lakes Science Center, Browns Stadium, House of Blues, the Warehouse Entertainment District, Tower City Mall, Playhouse Square, and many fine Cleveland restaurants. Taxis are not always visible on the streets of Cleveland, so be sure to get the phone number of local taxi services at the hotel desk before you explore the city.
