The Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the eleventh annual AIIP Technology Award, created to recognize innovative products that enhance the working environment of the independent information professional.
AIIP invites any company or individual that produces information products (databases, web organizers, Internet sites) for web based services or for desktop software, to enter the competition.
Successful entries will be new products or technologies that help information professionals with their day-to-day operations in locating, analyzing and organizing, and delivering information. The product must be related to the information field; AIIP does not consider accounting, word-processing, spreadsheet, or other programs not directly related to locating, analyzing, or organizing data appropriate for this award. The deadline for nominations is September 13, 2010.
The AIIP Technology Awards Committee will judge each entry on the basis of usability, speed, and content if relevant. Panel members will review the nominations and submitted materials, directly evaluate the product if possible, and otherwise interview users.
